Is raising a voice for justice a fault? Comments: The story is based on an important social theme i.e. the rights of women and their abuse at the hands of men. In fact, such themes are not being presented in today's drama as the overwhelming presentations are formulaic quilt of pretty faces, love stories and soap operatic melodramas. Relevant to the theme, the story spanned three generations. In the first generation, the feudal Mustafa Shahzad (Shafi Muhammad) had been shown abusing the rights of his own wife and daughter. In the second and third generations, the daughter-in-law Sarah (Sania Saeed) and the grand daughter Sasha too suffering at the hands of their male guardians for fighting for the rights of women specially of those from the down trodden class. Both Sarah and her daughter Sasha had to face numerous oppositions in their endeavour. Sarah belonged to a highly educated, liberal family with rich cultural heritage, depicting eastern traditions . Sarah herself was a practicing lawyer ideologically committed to profession specialising in family laws. However, as soon as she stepped into another family by virtue of her marriage with Dr. Ali Shahzad (Humayun Saeed), she had to face a conservative, unfamiliar atmosphere. She had to fight for her own rights and for others living in the haveli of Raees Mustafa Shahzad.
